Japan says it has recovered 8 of the 11 in aircraft crash in Pacific

A search and rescue operation is underway in the Philippine Sea after an aircraft carrying 11 crashed while en route to the USS Ronald Reagan. Japan is assisting in the search and said it has recovered eight, but did not specify their fate.
